To open the lock, you first need to download the Deelfiets Nederland app via the App Store or Play Store. Then create an account in the app and click on the link in the email you receive to activate the account. Stand next to the bike you want to rent and scan the QR code on the bike. The app will give you step-by-step instructions on how to rent a bike. This way, you can quickly start your trip!
If you have rented a bike, you can use the Deelfiets Nederland app to lock the bike. Press the bike icon in the app and then choose Lock. Follow the instructions in the app to lock the bike.
Sometimes the app cannot connect to the bike's lock. If this happens, the app will give you instructions to try to solve this: you need to have internet, check that Bluetooth is on on your phone, and stand close to the lock. Sometimes it helps to close the app completely and restart it. Still not working? If so, contact us.
Yes, that is possible. Through the app, you can lock the share bike at any time and location you want, for example, when you take a break while cycling. To do so, press the bike icon at the bottom of the app and then choose Lock. Follow the instructions in the app to lock the bike.
If the share bike breaks down or is stolen while renting, contact us immediately. You should also report theft to the police immediately.
On the display of the share bike, you can see how much power is left in the battery of your share bicycle.
It is possible to cycle without electric assistance, but this cycles heavily and is not comfortable for most users. We therefore recommend keeping an eye on the battery charge on the display of the share bike and returning the bike in good time if it runs low.
Deelfiets Nederland electric share bikes have a maximum speed of 25 km per hour.
No worries. You can log in with your Deelfiets Nederland account on another phone. Note: The Deelfiets Nederland app must be downloaded on the phone.
In our app and on our website, you can see if a Deelfiets is available at your desired location. Click on a location on the map to see its availability. On the website, find the map at Share Bikes > Locations.
It is important to return the bike to the correct drop-off point after use and end the ride via the app. If you do not end the rental properly, the rental time and therefore the rental cost will continue to increase. Unable to end the ride via the app? Then send us an email at info@deelfietsnederland.nl with the number of the bike, the drop point where you returned the bike and the date and time you did so, and we will still report the bike for you as soon as possible.
You must always return the bike to the drop-off point of Deelfiets Nederland. It depends on the region where you rent the bike whether you can choose another drop-off point or whether you always have to return it to the drop-off point where you started the rental.
In the Weerribben-Wieden region, it is possible to return a bike at another drop-off point in that region. You recognise these drop points in the app by the icon PAK ‘M.
Former KeoBike bicycles can also be handed in at any former KeoBike location.
We charge different rates depending on the location and type of bike. On the location page you can see the current rate per location. You will also always see the current rate if you scan the bike in the Deelfiets Nederland app before renting it. You can find the locations on the website at Share Bikes > Locations.
Our share bikes have a rate per 15 minutes and a maximum rate per day. The 15-minute rate is charged per block of 15 minutes or part thereof, counting from the whole hour. A starting rate also applies at some locations. In a day, a shared bike never costs more than the maximum rate per day. At 12 midnight, a new day begins, after which the fare increases again per block of 15 minutes until the maximum fare for that day is reached.
Sometimes it happens that you cannot finish the bike rental. First, it is important to check that you are at the drop-off point where you can return the bike. If the battery of your share bike is (almost) completely flat, you need to hang the bike on the charger at the drop-off point for a few minutes before the app can recognize that the bike is at the drop-off point. Then wait a few minutes and try again. If it does not work, send us an e-mail at info@deelfietsnederland.nl with the number of the bike, the drop-off point where you returned the bike and the date and time you did so, and we will report the bike for you as soon as possible.
Payment can be made via the Deelfiets Nederland App using iDEAL or credit card.
Share bikes from Deelfiets Nederland are parked at designated locations, so-called drop-off points. You can find these locations on the map in the Deelfiets Nederland app and on our website under Share Bikes > Locations.
Deelfiets Nederland has both electric bikes and regular bikes. Whether electric or regular bikes are offered varies by location. Choose a location on the map to see what type of bikes are offered there. You can find the locations in the Deelfiets Nederland app or on the website at Share Bikes > Locations.
If you are renting a bike for the first time, you have to pay €1 in advance. The app asks you to make this payment when you scan a bike for the first time. You pay the rest of your fare afterwards after returning the bike. For each subsequent ride, you pay the entire fare afterwards. You can pay by iDEAL or credit card.
You can easily report a problem with your bike via the Deelfiets Nederland app. To do so, press ‘Need help’ in the app and choose ‘Report a problem’ Our service department will repair the bike as soon as possible.
Is it not safe to ride the bike? Then return the bike to the drop-off point and terminate the rental via the app.
Does the app charge for a bike you couldn't use? You don't have to pay these. Please email us at info@deelfietsnederland.nl with the number of the bike and the problem you had, and we will adjust the bill as soon as possible.
